One of these, "Alpha Dog," will go to modern rock radio on October 19th as the new single from Fall Out Boy.
MTV VMA Best Group of 2007, Fall Out Boy have built up a loyal following through relentless touring; performing more than 1,300 shows since their inception in 2000. The band's 2008 release Folie a Deux was certified RIAA Gold. 2007 RIAA double-platinum release Infinity On High debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. It was the follow-up to From Under The Cork Tree, their 3 million worldwide-selling Island debut of 2005, which spent 72 weeks on the Billboard 200 albums chart and spun off "Sugar, We're Going Down" (MTV2 Award winner for 2005), "Dance, Dance" (MTV VMA Viewers Choice Award for 2006), and "A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More `Touch Me'." In April 2008, Fall Out Boy's RIAA platinum "****Live In Phoenix," their first long-form CD+DVD two-disc package debuted at #1 on the Billboard Music Video Sales chart. In addition,Fall Out Boy have also been selected as the #1 Mobile artist for this year according to Billboard Magazine.
Hailing from the Chicago 'burb of Wilmette, Fall Out Boy - Patrick Vaughn Stump(vocals/guitar), Pete Wentz (bass), Joe Troh man (guitar), and Andy Hurley (drums) - have appeared on the covers of Rolling Stone, Spin, Blender, and Alternative Press. They have performed on NBC's Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien, CBS's The Late Show with David Letterman, ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live, and more. They have won three MTV Video Music Awards and have received a Grammy nomination as well.
